MultimeterBLE 4.0 was downloaded on a bluetooth enabled Android tablet from the play store. This is the initial screen. The app can monitor two multimeters simultaneously. Tap on No Device icon (Circled in red) to display listing of Bluetooth devices. |
Select BDM from the list. |
The app monitors the multimeter initial switch selected function. Tap icon (Circled in Red) for Next Screen. |
From this screen you can remotely control the multimeter functions, regardless of switch setting on the multimeter Tap icon (Circled in Red) for Next Screen. |
Data is sampled, graphed and stored in multimeter memory. The sample rate can be changed. Tap on icon (Circled in Red) for next screen. |
From this menu the data collected may be downloaded as a .csv file and imported into Excel for examination and graphing. The Clear Data option dumps previous collection and starts new collection The Setting option allows you to change how often samples are taken, along with other options. |
In my system, I email the .csv file from the tablet to a laptop. When imported into Excel 2019, I discovered that the collected data (column C) could not be modified or displayed in a line chart. |
The solution is to add a new blank column to the right of the "C" column |
Highlight column C Go to the Data tab in Excel Click Convert text to columns wizard. Use Delimited - Next, Tab - Next, General - Finish. Upon completion of the convert text to column wizard, the data previously in Column C will appear in Column D. |
The data in column D can now be modified and can be made into a line chart. |
